Sadly we learn that Monty has passed away. Sgt Monaghan was a training Sergeant with 6 Regiment for many years. A legend Gunner about whom many stories are still told. May he rest in peace. This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The Reserve Artillery Regiments contributed FOO teams, FDC and Battery Commander to Bde Assesments.

Comdt. Richie Armstrong appointed BC 2 Bty

Comdt. Armstrong returns to the Regiment following a stint at Brigade Head Quarters. He takes over command of 2 Battery following Comdt. Gibsons appointment as Regimental 2 I/C.

Update on last 25 Pdr. Shoot from the Garrison group

Apparently it was Irish 25 Pounders that were used in the film ‘A Bridge Too Far’ – the scene of the creeping barrage as Michael Caine led 30 Corps through the German lines.
